A Bit About Strawhouse
Many a moon ago (in 2013), two marketers named Naveed Avery and Jason Kryski met in an internet backwater for digital marketers. Once they started chatting, they quickly realized they both lived in the same small Canadian town, in the same building, only a floor apart.
Avery and Kryski also found they shared a vision of the digital landscape: they foresaw an evolving e-commerce ecosystem that leverages digital advertising and data to grow emerging e-commerce brands rapidly and profitably.
With barriers to market entry starting to fall away for consumer product companies leveraging the internet, Avery and Kryski aimed to make success in the market even more attainable, further reducing the friction to entrepreneurial success for their partners.
They envisioned a high risk, high reward business model that shifted risk away from e-commerce businesses and onto themselves. And so, Strawhouse was born at the tip of the spear of the Digitally Native Brand movement.
Today, Strawhouse lives as an unusual blend of performance-based capital and growth. In the shadows, we work quietly alongside dozens of the world's most interesting and fastest-growing consumer product companies as one of Facebook's largest performance partners. Our expertise is leveraging digital advertising and consumer behaviour to acquire customers for emerging e-commerce brands.
Through a mix of proprietary data, innovative humans, internal technology, and financial resources, Strawhouse invests and grows a diverse portfolio of digitally-native, vertically-integrated brands.
Wander into the Strawhouse office and you’ll find a team of hungry, collaborative marketers: copywriters, visual designers, and media buyers working together to strategize, build, and scale customer experiences that convert and ultimately build strong e-commerce brands.
Our culture celebrates diversity of thought in a respectful idea meritocracy. Hypothesis are generated, debated, tested and interpreted through data. We iterate ever closer to optimal outcomes, both in terms of who we are as individuals and the work we create. We stop at nothing short of being global leaders.
You’ll also find a team of supportive office doggos, some people walking around in slippers, inspiring art, a ping pong setup that also serves as our boardroom table, billiards, a massage chair, and other trope-y tech accoutrement.
We treat people the way we want to be treated, in and out of the office. That means a comprehensive health, dental and wellness plan, an employee stock option program and profit sharing that aggressively rewards those who drive success.
So, do you want to dent the universe with us?
